Our staff team is made up of a Play Facilitator, two Deputy Play Facilitators, and several Play Workers. Most of our Play Workers have NVQ Level 2 Childcare qualifications and several are working or have achieved Level 3.

Our current Play Facilitator is Rakel de Mena and her role is to manage the day-to-day business of the Club and play schemes. She coordinates the activity programme for each session, working closely with the Deputy Play Facilitators, and the Play Workers and making sure the sessions are well resourced and planned.

All staff have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau checks and we are committed to ensuring they have regular training.

Rakel is supported by a Business and Finance Administrator, who is responsible for invoicing, and collection of fees as well as other administrative tasks.

The club is run as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity Number 1154025) with a board of Trustees made up of parent volunteers, responsible for the overall management of the Club. Trustees meetings are held once a term and all parents are welcome.
The AGM is usually held in May of each year. The club has a constitution which is available at the bottom of the page.

We are always pleased to welcome parents to help the club. You are welcome to attend our termly trustees meetings. We also run stalls at the Christmas and Summer Fairs, and twice yearly cake sales at Downend Road to raise funds for the club. If you are able to lend a hand, please let us know.

We ask that parents consider whether they can help with the ‘walking bus’ from Downend Road site to make sure we have a sufficient number of adults accompanying the children to the club.

Fees for After School club are due the end of the third full week of term. For Holiday Playscheme we ask that you arrange payment before the start of the scheme.

We hope that your involvement with the club will be a happy one. We value your views and suggestions, so please tell us when you think we are doing a good job.

However from time to time problems do occur, we need to know about any concerns you have too so that we can put them right. You should speak to the Play Facilitator, who will try to resolve things with you. If you remain dissatisfied then the next step is to write to the Chair of the Trustees. They will arrange to discuss your complaint with you and look into the matter fully. They should respond to you in writing within 21 days to explain what steps they have taken to resolve things for you.
