We had a jam-packed summer holidays with a fun trip to Weston-Super-Mare where children enjoyed building sandcastles and flying kites that they had made at the club. Another popular trip was to Easton Adventure Playground where children were able to challenge and push themselves to take risks. We saw their independence and confidence grow.
We had a very creative ‘festival’ week where children got to create their own, very cool, tie-dye t-shirt to take home with them. This was a very popular activity and lots was learnt. Throughout the week we had a drumming workshop and even a live performance on stage with real musicians.
We made even more improvements to the outside area including a bug hotel and bird houses; where children learned practical skills using tools as well as learning about nature and conservation. Our sunflowers bloomed and children have enjoyed collecting the seeds to save for next year’s growing season.
We can’t wait to see what will create during this year!
