Ashley Down after school club has been working hard to create a comprehensive risk assessment in order to support the health and safety of all children, families, staff and visitors by preventing the transmission of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in our settings. We have been adapting our setting to the situation.
We are working alongside both Schools, Ashley Down and Brunel Field following their guidance on collection and bubbles.
Collection
Upon entry to the building, staff, parents, carers, children and visitors must use antibacterial hand gel available at entry and exit points.
The collection point at Muller road is the main entrance (blue door) –
The collection point at Brunel field site is outside the gate –
Important information about collecting your child/ren
Parents and carers must follow social distancing guidelines at collection. They will wait outside and use hand sanitiser before signing in. Where possible parents should use their own pen to sign their child out.
We kindly ask that just one parent or carer pick up your child/ren.
Routines at the club
Children will be divided in year groups and escorted to the club.
Upon arrival at the club, each year group will have an area of the hall assigned.
Tables and chairs will be set keeping 2 m apart from each other.
Snacks will be ready to be handed over by staff. We encourage parents and carers to include a water bottle in the bag.
Staff will be wearing a shield mask and /or facemask at all times.
We will use our outdoor space by planning activities outdoors whenever possible. Children will continue to stay in their groups or ‘bubbles’ during outdoor play activities.
Hand cleaning will be promoted before and after each activity and equipment will be cleaned after use.
We hope you will be satisfied with all these measures.
Do not hesitate to contact the club if you have any question, we will be happy to hear your thoughts.
